Tao Yuan studied Biomedical Engineering during his Bachelor and Master, focusing on biomedical optics. In May 2022 he joined the research unit iMAGO where he will focus on developing the mid-infrared optothermal microscopy for the study of live-cell lipid droplets dynamics. In addition, he is working on spectral imaging study of inflamed adipose tissue using mid-infrared optoacoustic microscopy.
