Prof. Dr. Martin Klingenspor

Prof. Klingenspor studied biology at the Philipps-University of Marburg. After the completion of his PhD, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow in the United States of America. In 2001, he was appointed assistant professor at the Philipps-University of Marburg and in 2007, he accepted TUM’s offer of the Chair of Molecular Nutritional Medicine. His research focus lays on the mechanisms of metabolic regulation with the aim of identifying how nutrition affects the body’s energy balance.

Prof. Klingenspor was awarded the TUM Supervisory Award in 2019, which annually honors one professor for outstanding doctoral supervision
